Primary Authorizer

Trading Term

A designated account user with permission to approve or deny certain Client Portal functions. A primary authorizer is the first level of authorization; a Security Officer can also designate users as secondary authorizers if your organization requires two levels of authorization. For example, your company CEO might be a primary authorizer and the CFO might be a secondary authorizer. The Access Rights Configuration page in Client Portal shows the number of required and active primary authorizers for the selected Client Portal function.

  • The Required Primary Authorizers number indicates the number of primary authorizers that are required to approve requests for the specific function, up to a maximum of two.
  • The Active Primary Authorizers number indicates the number of account users who have been designated as primary authorizers for the specific function. For example, you could set the number of required primary authorizers for Position Transfers to 1, and designate three account users as primary authorizers; any one of those three users could then approve Position Transfer requests.
