A type of cryptocurrency, often used in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), that acts in a similar manner to coupons, vouchers, or reward points, whereby its issuance enables access to a product or service upon redemption. For example, Ether may be exchanged for access to dApps, or to execute smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
