Exciting news from IBKR API dev team! More support for comprehensive “family codes” in the API has been added (changes server-side). API traders can use the function reqFamilyCodes to check if an account already exists under an account family – such as an individual account under an advisor “umbrella”. Here is an example from our GitHub guide on how to find the family code:
