Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation includes several option trading and analysis tools that are free of charge for our clients. This introduction will discuss the option tools that will be covered in the course.

Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation includes several option trading and analysis tools that are free of charge for our clients. Each lesson will focus on a specific option tool or screen from our Layout Library. We will walk you through examples on how to use the tools using a variety of option trades and strategies to illustrate practical trading scenarios.

We’ll access Option Chains in Mosaic explore the Strategy Builder and the Layout Library’s preconfigured Option Trading Screen. We will take a deep dive into the Option Strategy Lab, Probability Lab, and the Performance Profile and show you how they can help in your analysis. We will also go into how to trade option volatility and use the Volatility Lab to assist you in researching both implied and historic volatility.

Two of the more popular option trading tools are Option Write and Rollover tools.  We will show you how to use them to manage your existing stock and option positions.

Trader Workstation also offers market scanners that allow you to search underlyings for several option related activities. A few examples are: “Top Option Implied Volatility % Gainers and Losers” and “Most Active by Option Volume”.

We will finish the option tools course with lessons on how the Risk Navigator “What-if” function can be used for options. They will show you how to Calculate Option Forward Prices for single options and option combinations and how to set alarms and alerts.

By the end of this course, you will be familiar with several of the option tools available in the Trader Workstation.

  • Lamentablemente no domino el idioma inglĂ©s. Pierdo una parte importante de la informaciĂłn que se da en los videos. Con subtĂ­tulos en español se pierde la atenciĂłn de lo que muestra la pantalla. Para mi es importante aprender a usar esta plataforma para hacer “Trading” y tambiĂ©n para Invertir a largo plazo.
