Learn how IBKR’s Block Execution desk can help handle order flow and source liquidity for busy stock, option, and bond investors.

Study Notes:

Interactive Brokers’ Block Trading Desks are available to active and institutional clients allowing them to focus on growing their business, while allowing our experienced traders to seek out potential price improvement and liquidity from established market relationships.

Our experienced broker staff works to locate liquidity through all potential channels, including so-called ‘upstairs providers’ if unavailable electronically.

This concierge service for large trades allows start-to-finish execution and monitoring of large trades throughout the trading day and week.

Our Order Desks help Financial Advisors, Hedge Funds, Money Managers, and Family Offices execute large or complex orders, monitor trades when clients are away from their screens, or serve as an extra set of eyes watching orders.

By establishing a strong relationship with our desk personnel, Financial Advisors may entrust real-time client account activity to the broker for stock execution and option overlay programs.

The Block Execution Desks are manned by professional traders who build strong client relationships, aligning their approach with your needs, and use decades of high-volume, high pressure trading experience to solve problems.

IBKR Corporate Bond Order Desk

Our traders help facilitate larger U.S., European and Asian corporate bond trades where electronic liquidity is insufficient. The Corporate Bond Order Desk brokers everything with the street and does not take positions.

Our order desk may be able to find price improvement or additional liquidity for large trades, compared to the electronic National Best Bid and Offer (NBBO).

IBKR Stock and Option Order Desk

Our order desk may be able to find price improvement or additional liquidity for large trades, compared to the electronic NBBO for orders in even the most liquid option classes and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The Desk works with clients using minimums of 10,000 shares and 100 option contracts and aims to provide small-footprint price improvement inside the NBBO.

They can help source liquidity, bring SPX market color from the pit, offer price discovery services, and help execute complex algo trading strategies.
