Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities (LEAPS)

Trading Term

Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities is a type of publicly traded option contract with expiration dates longer than one year. The longer expiration dates offer investors the opportunity to be exposed to prolonged price changes as opposed to a combination of short-term contracts. The premium tends to be higher than standard contracts.
