Maria Calderon

Maria E. Calderon-Salcedo joined MarketAxess in 2009 and is the Head of LATAM Sales for MarketAxess. In this leadership role, Mrs. Calderon-Salcedo is responsible for setting up the strategy, managing client relationships and trading distribution across this fast-growing region. Before this, Mrs. Calderon-Salcedo led the Hedge Fund and ETF sales effort for MarketAxess globally, and held multiple sales management roles, including product focuses on Credit Default Swaps and local-currency trading activity for Mexico-based accounts. Prior to MarketAxess, Mrs. Calderon-Salcedo was a Credit Default & Interest Rate Swap Product Specialist at Tradeweb. Mrs. Calderon-Salcedo was previously a Senior Institutional Sales Representative with Advantage Data and began her career at ClassMap, as a founding member of the internet classroom software startup. Mrs. Calderon-Salcedo grew up in Mexico City and holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Design Thinking Certification from Stanford University & Derivatives Modeling Certification from Columbia University.
