Keynesian Economics

Trading Term

A belief system that maintains that changes in investment and spending by consumers and governments can support economic growth. Government spending can increase demand for goods, so manufacturers increase their output and in doing so, create new jobs. With the new jobs and accompanying salaries, consumption increases further, supporting additional economic output.
