Vertical Farming, which has been touted as a transformative technology innovation destined to help meet the planet’s grand challenge of food security, has suffered significant setbacks in recent months owing to the number of Vertical Farm enterprises that have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. While Vertical Farming’s technical feasibility, its reliability, and capacity to foster sustainability in both land use and freshwater use remains unquestionable, its significant demand for electrical energy casts a shadow of doubt on its economic feasibility. And, consequently, the current flow of investments into the Vertical Farming industry has significantly dwindled relative to previous years.

A panel of leading Indoor Farm CEOs/Co-Founders and investors will discuss the challenges currently facing the Vertical Farming industry and also paint a portrait of the road ahead.
