The Dollar Milkshake Theory REVISITED!

The Dollar Milkshake Theory REVISITED!

This is the kind of information, when acted upon in a timely fashion, that makes for portfolio-changing trades and/or portfolio-saving risk-management moves: A little more than a year ago, Roger Hirst identified the U.S. dollar as “the bedrock of the world’s financial system.”

His view, based on Brent Johnson’s Dollar Milkshake Theory, posits that as the global reserve currency, it has “an outsized impact on economies and investment opportunities.”

At the same time, he warned that “if the level of the dollar moves too quickly and particularly if it rises too fast, then problems start popping up all over the place.” Roger spoke then about “why everyone should have a plan for a rapidly rising dollar.”

And he was damn prescient: The U.S. Dollar Index surged 22.4% from September 7, 2021, through October 14, 2022. So, were you prepared for this historic U.S. dollar rally?
