In this lesson, we review the trading screens available in the Mosaic Layout library. The Layout Library can be accessed by clicking on the add tab in the lower left-hand corner. Once the Add tab pop-up box appears click on the blue Browse button in the Layout Library section.
Click on All at the bottom of the menu on the left side to see the collection of available layouts. These layouts can be downloaded by clicking “Add Layout” in the bottom right-hand corner. You can also see a description and summary of uses for the layout by clicking on the “Details” tab.
Several of the tools we discuss in this course are contained within these preconfigured screens in the Layout Library. The layouts are titled Basket Trading, BookTrading, Integrated Stock Window, and Algo Tools – Scale Trader.
While all these screens contain the trading tool in the title, they also contain other TWS tools and features that can help enhance the trading experience for the investor. For example, the Book Trading layout not only contains BookTrader, but also a 1-minute candle chart, hourly candle chart, Time and Sales panel, the Activity panel, and the Monitor panel along with the Portfolio tab and Watchlists.
To incorporate each or any of these displays, click on “Add Layout” and the screen will become a new named tab on the Trader Workstation. Once added it can be edited further to remove or add additional tools. Investors may add as many displays from the Layout Library as they would like, or they can download multiple versions of the same screen they can choose to then make changes to the configuration.
Using the pre-configured screens in the Layout Library is a great way for the investor to get the most out of the advanced trading tools of their choice.
