The technical Views tab in the IBKR Discover tool uses a combination of automated algorithms and expertise from senior analysts, Trading Central’s Technical Views monitors the markets for recognizable patterns that could help the investor create a successful trading plan. Technical Views is useful whether the investor is looking for their next trading idea or want a second opinion on an idea the investor wants to implement.

Study Notes:

Trading Central generates Technical Views within Intraday, Daily and Weekly timeframes depicting bullish, bearish and neutral trends. With the Technical Views tab clicked users can select ideas from categories covering Forex, Crypto, Stocks, Indices, and Commodities by clicking each button. Users can choose their desired Timeframe and Trend filters. Clicking on the Stocks icon shows that additional filters are displayed allowing the user to pick from a country list as well as sector list. In this example, we will leave the filters set to ‘all’.

The page displays results in descending time-stamped order so that latest ideas will appear at the top of the results list. Each idea or headline includes the stock (asset) name and symbol and color-coded arrow and headline depicting at the tone of the article. Red for down, green for up and white for neutral. Each headline, also color coded, provides a summary on the logic for the suggested trade.

Click a headline to populate the article on the right of the screen. The expanded view provides the technical suggestion above the chart, while the chart contains price action and relevant accompanying studies and trade objectives.

Beneath the plot is technical support for the recommendation along with support and resistance levels.

Technical Views from Trading Central helps users cut through much of the hard work performed by technical analysts and serves up a constant stream of trading suggestions for users to consider. Users may also research older archives by entering company name or trading symbol into the search bar.
